The End of Dual Roadway (to right) road sign (W116) is a W Series road layout warning sign used to alert drivers that a dual carriageway arrangement is ending, with traffic converging as the additional lane or carriageway terminates toward the right-hand side. It provides advance warning of a lane reduction and merging condition.
Purpose and function
This sign warns drivers to anticipate a reduction in roadway width and a merging movement. It supports safer speed adjustment and gap selection where lane discipline is required to prevent side-swipe collisions and sudden braking.
