The Yield to Oncoming Traffic road sign (R6) is an R1 Series control sign used where traffic must narrow into a single lane that is shared by vehicles from both directions. It instructs drivers to give way to oncoming vehicles that are already within the single-lane section, reducing conflict and preventing head-on incidents.
Purpose and function
