The Switch Headlamps On road sign (R133) is a regulatory command sign used to instruct drivers to switch their vehicle headlamps on from the point of the sign onward.
Purpose and function
This sign improves vehicle conspicuity and reduces collision risk in environments where visibility is reduced or where drivers require earlier visual detection. It is particularly valuable in fog-prone areas, shaded passes, tunnels, and high-risk approaches.
