The No Towed Vehicles road sign (R240) is a regulatory prohibition sign used to indicate that vehicles towing trailers, caravans, or other towed units are not permitted beyond the sign.
Purpose and function
This sign prevents access by towed vehicles in areas where road geometry, gradients, clearance, or traffic conditions make towing unsafe or impractical.
