The Mass Limit road sign (R202) is a regulatory prohibition sign used to indicate the maximum permitted vehicle mass beyond the sign. Vehicles exceeding the displayed mass limit must not proceed.
Purpose and function
This sign protects road infrastructure such as bridges, pavements, and culverts from damage caused by excessive vehicle mass. It also supports enforcement of legal vehicle loading limits.
