The Gore Plate Class 1 Retro-Reflective Road Sign (W413) is a W Series warning and guidance sign used to mark gore areas, lane splits, diverging carriageways, and channelised islands. It provides strong visual guidance to prevent incorrect lane entry and late decision changes.
Purpose and function
This sign improves lane discipline and reduces side-swipe and merge related collisions by clearly defining where traffic must not drive and where lanes separate. It is especially useful on high-speed approaches, ramps, and complex interchanges.
