The Warning Children Class 1 Retro Reflective road sign (W308) is a symbolic warning sign used to alert drivers that children may be present near or crossing the roadway ahead. It is intended for areas where child movement is likely and where driver caution is essential due to unpredictable behaviour.
Purpose and function
This sign warns drivers to reduce speed, increase scanning, and be prepared to stop. Children may enter the road unexpectedly and may not judge vehicle speed or distance accurately, making early driver awareness critical for safety.
