The Traffic Control Yield Ahead Temporary road sign (TW303) is a temporary W Series warning sign used to warn drivers that a yield condition is coming up ahead in a temporary traffic control layout. It is commonly used where right of way is changed temporarily due to roadworks, lane closures, or event traffic management.
Purpose and function
This sign reduces conflict and side-swipe collisions by prompting drivers to slow down early, scan for merging traffic, and prepare to give way where the temporary layout requires it.
Typical applications
- Roadworks with temporary merges and lane reductions
- Temporary intersections or stop and go operations
- Event traffic control and short-term detours
- Any temporary layout where priority has changed
Permanent counterpart
If you need a permanent version, use the Traffic Control “Yield” Ahead road sign (W303).
Commonly used with
- Traffic Control “Stop” Ahead Temporary road sign (TW302)
- Roadworks Ahead Temporary road sign (TW336)
- Stop - Go road sign (R1.5)
