The Staggered Junctions (Right – Left) road sign (W109) is a road layout warning sign used to alert drivers that two side roads join in close succession, first from the right and then from the left. It is used where multiple conflict points occur within a short distance.
Purpose and function
This sign warns drivers to anticipate vehicles entering from alternating sides. It reduces surprise, supports safer speed selection, and improves scanning where turning traffic may appear with limited warning.
Typical applications
- Roads with two junctions placed closely on opposite sides
- Suburban routes with frequent access roads
- Rural roads where junctions are not expected in quick succession
Selection and placement guidance
- Install in advance of the first junction in the sequence
- Ensure the sign reflects the correct right–left order
- Maintain clear visibility on approach

- 1.2 mm Chromadek steel with a retro reflective sign face for day and night visibility
- Unistrut included with the 1200 mm size only
- Poles, clamps, nuts and bolts are not included, email us should you require a quote on any additional items
- If ordering Unistruts, remember to order the correct size clamps for the poles you will be using
