The Skew T-Junction (Right) road sign (W105) is a road layout warning sign used to alert drivers that a skewed T-junction is located ahead, with the intersecting road joining at an angle and the primary alignment continuing with a right bias. It is used where junction layout is not a standard right-angle intersection and early warning is required.
Purpose and function
This sign warns of an upcoming angled junction, helping drivers adjust speed and scanning behaviour earlier. It is particularly important where the angle reduces predictability and can increase conflict risk.
Typical applications
- Rural and regional routes with skewed junction geometry
- Approaches with limited visibility to the junction
- Intersections where drivers may misread the priority or alignment at speed
Temporary alternative
This sign is also available for short-term traffic control where conditions are not normal:
