The SABS Arrow left, stairs down left and running man photoluminescent (E17) is a photoluminescent (glow-in-the-dark) emergency escape route sign used to guide occupants to safety when visibility is reduced. It remains visible in low light and supports fast, correct decision-making during evacuations.
Purpose and function
This sign provides clear directional or confirmation guidance for escape routes, exits, and stairways. It should be installed so the arrow direction and symbol orientation match the actual route people must follow, maintaining visual continuity from decision point to exit.

Photoluminescent signs absorb ambient light and then emit visible light in darkness, supporting legibility when power fails or visibility is reduced. For best results, ensure the sign is exposed to sufficient ambient lighting under normal operating conditions.

Frame and material options
Photoluminescent signs can be supplied as signfaces only or fitted into aluminium frames. Single-sided and double-sided aluminium frames do not include chain, they are supplied with hooks only. Aluminium frames can be supplied in silver or black.
Chromadek is available on request, but it is not advisable for photoluminescent signage in outdoor applications. For best performance and service life, use materials and mounting options suited to the installation environment.
